2018: Charcoal sketching in Roman Ruins, Waveney & Blyth Arts and Broads Authority – Burgh Castle, Norfolk

Explore the stunning ruins of Burgh Castle on this short circular walk with artist Genevieve Rudd and a Broads Authority guide. Using charcoal, we will capture the atmosphere and detail of this heritage-rich place, whilst taking inspiration from the Roman ruins and the nearby Breydon Water. All materials supplied.

Meet at: English Heritage Car Park (free), Butt Lane, Burgh Castle (TG479049). Total distance 1 mile with lots of stops. Refreshments can be purchased from The Queens Head pub, High Road (next to bus stop).

Joint walk with Broads Authority’s ‘Water, Mills and Marshes: the Broads Landscape Partnership’. Plus, taking place during the Broads Outdoors Festival (Saturday 28 April to Sunday 13 May).
