Threads of Summer is a seasonal exploration of local plant-life foraged from the Gorleston area of Norfolk, UK
Cyanotype photographic prints of picked flowers, leaves and branches are permanently fixed onto repurposed and recycled fabric, then traced with coloured thread, immortalising them beyond their natural season
The project has been regularly exhibited around East Anglia, including at Great Yarmouth Library, Norfolk (2016), St Augustine’s Art Café, Norwich (2016), Nunnsyard Gallery, Norwich (2017), Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Cley Marshes (2018) and Hello Future Fashion at Norwich Science Festival (2021). It has also been featured in Handeye Magazine and Emboss Magazine (2017). Prints of the artwork as greetings cards and postcards are available for sale upon request
