This series of nine cyanotype photographic prints were produced during daylight hours on 23rd September 2019 across the Autumn Equinox. The prints are on cartridge and watercolour paper, and measure 20.5cm x 20.5cm square
The nature of cyanotype photography means that when developed outdoors in UV light from the sun, the prints document a unique quality of light that cannot be replicated. The light ‘caught’ in these Autumn Equinox prints were produced from 8:40am GMT onwards, which is the moment when autumn begins in the Northern Hemisphere (if measured as astronomical season) and there are equal hours of light and dark
