My artwork is on display at The Shoe Factory Social Club, Norwich for UNA Gallery’s summer exhibition. The show is open from 7th to 27th July to view daily from 11am to 5pm. There are over 50 contemporary artists displaying work, from photography to painting to video, shown over 2 floors.
Lovely afternoon of walking, exploring, experimenting and making on/around Great Yarmouth beach for Create by the Coast‘s first session. We collected found materials and created sculptures using wire and string. Witches, hats, birds and icecreams emerged! Then we had a go at sand-casting hands – with a few broken fingers (the plaster that is!). It was fun to create with found materials and spend time outdoors. The next workshop, at Gorleston Priory Gardens, is in a fortnight and spaces are available to book. It’ll be creative, family-friendly and hands-on, and there are only 2 more left this summer! Recently, I was awarded a grant from Norfolk County Council’s Arts Project Fund to deliver a series of environmental arts workshops in the Great Yarmouth area in July and August. We’ll be responding to the local landscapes through creative activities such as weaving, sketching and making temporary on-site art. There will be a project exhibition at Great Yarmouth Library from 4th to 9th September.
